Ambush in Hama Kills 4 Syrian Security Personnel

Syria's Ministry of Interior announced on Oct. 13 that road security patrols came under fire in the Hama countryside, resulting in multiple deaths among officers. The ministry confirmed that 4 members of the traffic security force were killed after two separate patrols were targeted in the eastern part of the province, pledging to bring the attackers to justice.

The attacks occurred on the Salamiyah-Ithriyah road, a region known for ISIS insurgency activities and criminal smuggling operations. While no group has officially claimed responsibility for the ambush, analysts suggest that the Badia insurgency is the most likely perpetrator given the geography of the strike.
