Police in Seine-Saint-Denis took Ritchy Thibault into custody on Thursday for inciting violence and outrage. The former aide to La France Insoumise deputy Ersilia Soudais faces charges of provocation and participating in a group formed to commit violent acts against state institutions.

Thibault allegedly threatened to set fire to the Élysée Palace and attack every police station in France, stating that he would "break everything" to target the government. The far-left agitator was detained in the afternoon following the dissemination of these threats against the French state.
