The dismantling of regional smuggling networks was the primary goal of a coordinated federal effort that resulted in 144 arrests, announced Homeland Security officials. Operation Loaded Dice targeted criminal organizations involved in the trafficking of narcotics, illegal firearms and bulk currency, said Erin Burke, the special agent in charge of HSI Los Angeles. The enforcement action was carried out by Homeland Security Investigations and the Las Vegas Homeland Security Task Force.
