Soldiers of the Joint Forces entered the town of Sodari under celebratory gunfire on September 25, removing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from the area. The seizure concluded a 2 week offensive by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allies that recaptured more than 11 areas through drone strikes and ground advances from Bara and Jabrat al-Sheikh. The capture marks the end of the RSF's control over urban centers in North Kordofan.
