The AI startup has recorded $895.4 billion in commitments for compute purchase and lease agreements as of Sept 30, according to an updated registration statement for its upcoming initial public offering. The revised filing also notes as much as $175 billion in further compute obligations that have not yet been priced. These investments are primarily spread across infrastructure partners including Amazon, Google, and Broadcom to facilitate the scaling of the company’s large language models.
The disclosure comes as Anthropic adjusts its infrastructure growth targets. A report from the New York Times indicates the company now aims for more than 3.5 GW of computing power by the end of 2026, down from a 5 GW target shared with investors in September. The company’s goal for 2027 has similarly shifted to roughly 7 GW, compared to a previous projection of 10 GW.
