Companies seeking to join the network of certified cloud providers in Southeast Asia are now required to join a hardware monitoring system as a condition for obtaining Nvidia Cloud Partner status. The program, known as “fleet intelligence,” tracks the precise physical location and other operational metrics of the AI accelerators used by these businesses.
The chipmaker is introducing the mandate to strengthen its oversight of how AI hardware is distributed in the region and to curb the smuggling of its accelerators. The requirement applies to all Southeast Asian customers seeking the partner designation, according to people familiar with the matter.
