The Israel Defense Forces conducted strikes in Gaza City and Jabalia on Tuesday to eliminate commanders from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Muhammad Jamal Mahmoud Abu Al-Shaar, a Hamas military wing cell commander, was killed in Gaza City after participating in the October 7, 2023 invasion of Kibbutz Be'eri and the abduction of six hostages. Musab Abd al-Jalil Saqib Balbisi, a commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad who also entered Israel during the same assault, was killed in a separate operation.
