Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Azraq Al-Fanjari released a video describing the current conflict in Sudan as "futile" while renouncing his leadership role in the Rapid Support Forces. The commander of the RSF's Special Task Group has joined the Sudanese Army, bringing 300 officers and soldiers and 30 combat vehicles from his command. During the announcement, Al-Fanjari apologized to Sudanese families for civilian abuses and urged other militia fighters to defect.
