The Liberal Party captured both available Senate seats in Brasília after more than 95% of the votes were counted in the capital. Candidates Michelle Bolsonaro and Bia Kicis combining for more than 830,000 votes, a total that exceeds the count Damares Alves received for the seat she currently holds until 2030. Michelle Bolsonaro is entering elected office for the first time following a four year term as first lady, and the party now controls two of the three Senate chairs for the district.
