The Democratic Party is now expected to take control of the Texas lower house, as latest projections indicate it will hold the majority in the State House following a sweep of all 17 statewide contests on the ballot. These results include victories for Democratic candidates for governor, attorney general, and the state’s sole U.S. Senate seat, with the candidates leading in each race with at least 55% of the vote as of 66% of ballots counted.
