An audio recording from Davos in January captured Guilfoyle describing travel with Greek businessmen, the Wall Street Journal reported. She described a private jet flight with Aktor CEO Alexandros Exarchou, whose business interests she had promoted to foreign governments, and travel with shipping tycoon Nikolas Tsakos, who reportedly paid for her stay at a luxury Paris hotel. Seeking an invitation to a dinner for Eric Trump, she told an American businessman, “I’m going to make you a lot of f—ing money.”
Trump donor Eric Deters separately alleged that Guilfoyle sought $100,000 to pay her American Express bill before her July 2025 Senate confirmation hearing in exchange for help with tax and legal matters. “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” she wrote in Signal messages reviewed by the Journal. Deters said he never paid the bill, though he had previously paid her $300,000 for speaking appearances. Guilfoyle’s lawyer disputed the messages’ authenticity and said she was owed money for earlier speaking engagements.
