The governments of the US and Hungary have pledged to intensify intelligence sharing to counter what Secretary Rubio described as a resurgence of “far-left terrorism.” Rubio said the security coordination is aimed at disrupting an international network that seeks to destabilize Western civilization by targeting police, historic institutions and critical infrastructure.
During the bilateral talks, the two nations also signed a separate agreement known as the “Trump Peace Pipelines Framework.” Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orban said the accord is designed to increase regional cooperation and expand infrastructure for the transport of oil and gas.
