OpenAI is expanding its distribution of frontier models to the Gemini Agent and Antigravity coding environment under a new agreement with Google. GPT-6 Astra and Codex will arrive in Google Cloud’s Model Garden in the coming weeks, with sales managed through the Google Cloud Marketplace. Enterprise clients can count these purchases against existing cloud spending commitments to remove separate procurement steps, while regulated users can leverage Google’s data governance tools and access controls for agentic workflows.
Google is now the only hyperscale cloud provider to offer the three leading closed source LLMs on one platform, along with more than 200 other models. This shift follows the end of OpenAI’s exclusive arrangement with Microsoft on April 27, 2026, which previously enabled a launch on Amazon Web Services in April. While Microsoft remains the primary partner with first access to new products, Google has provided computing capacity to OpenAI under a 2025 deal and petitioned the FTC in December 2024 to end Microsoft’s exclusivity.
