A Georgia man faces federal charges for damaging government property and arson after he allegedly threw an improvised incendiary device at a federal field office. Homeland Security Investigations arrested Inique Hinton in connection with a Tuesday night attack on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.
The incident occurred at an Enforcement and Removal Operations facility in downtown Atlanta, where the Department of Homeland Security said the device became caught on a perimeter fence and failed to enter the building. An officer from the Atlanta Police Department pursued Hinton on foot before the suspect fled the scene. The FBI investigated the event, during which early reports indicated 3 Molotov cocktails were thrown; no injuries were reported.
