Tesla has completed over 1M unsupervised driverless miles across seven cities in three states in about seven months, a pace four times faster than Waymo's initial million miles, according to the model. ARK also estimates that Tesla's operational costs per mile will be about 40% lower than Waymo's next-generation fleet. Scaling the service depends on the release of FSD V15 late this year, with cumulative spending on AI infrastructure projected to rise from $7B to $225B.
