The total count of Tesla's Cybercabs in Texas reached 169 registered vehicles following a spike in new additions on Oct. 2. The automaker added 32 vehicles to the fleet overnight and registered another 11 by the following afternoon, totaling 43 new entries in a 18 hour span.

Registration data from the Texas DMV indicates an acceleration in the Robotaxi rollout. This expansion follows a first year of the program's launch that was viewed as underperforming by some observers, according to an analysis from the Understanding Robots newsletter.
