Thick smoke filled residential apartments above La Barrique in the 10th arrondissement on Oct 17 after looters set the restaurant on fire. Assailants broke into the establishment and punched owner Aline in the face, leaving her disfigured, before igniting the building. The fire completely destroyed the premises by the following morning.
