Donald Trump urged Israeli voters to support Benjamin Netanyahu on Truth Social on Sunday, calling him an “outstanding Warrior Prime Minister” and urging the public to vote for him on Tuesday. In the post, the former president linked his partnership with Netanyahu to military operations against Iran and Venezuela, claiming that Iran’s inflation has reached 301% and that the country’s navy and air force are in shambles.
The endorsement follows reports that Netanyahu lobbied Trump for more visible backing in recent days, a move the White House described as a “sign of desperation.” This is the first time a US president has publicly endorsed a candidate in an Israeli election. Netanyahu is also reportedly seeking a military strike against Iran before the polls open.
