The disaster was triggered by a landslide along the Budhi Gandaki river, creating a surge of water and boulders that swept away 45 houses, damaged 150 homes, and hit four bridges and three hydropower projects. At least 5 people are missing and 6 have been rescued in the latest event, which occurs less than two months after a separate wave of flooding in Nepal killed nearly 1,500 people and left 5,000 missing.
