Rainfall between September 24 and September 27 triggered 304 landslides and 87 floods in Nepal, killing at least 27 people and damaging 31 bridges. Rescue teams recently used helicopters to evacuate trekkers from mountain zones as river levels continued to rise. This crisis follows a glacial collapse last month that killed 1,450 people and is part of a regional weather pattern that has left more than 100 dead across India, Thailand, and Nepal.
