Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister Anita Orban convened in Ankara for the inaugural session of their Joint Planning Group. The two NATO allies intend to double their bilateral trade from $5B to $10B as part of a broader strategy to deepen ties in defense and energy, with specific focus on natural gas and renewables.

Fidan warned that Russia and Ukraine are engaged in a massive offensive to gain military superiority before winter, threatening civilian lives, navigation safety, and global food security in the Black Sea.
