Double-digit gigawatts of compute capacity across sites in Ohio and Georgia and the launch of GPT-Infra in three months marked the tenure of Sachin Katti's leadership at OpenAI. Katti will leave his post as head of computing capacity next month to establish a new venture, though he will remain an advisor after Nov. 15. He built a network of infrastructure partners including Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, AWS, and CoreWeave after joining the company in late 2025.
