France Summons Iranian Ambassador After Tehran Shuts Embassy Language Center

Iranian authorities sealed a French language center in Tehran on Sunday following a court order and allegations that the facility operated without a license. The Tehran prosecutor’s office alleged the center, which is affiliated with the French embassy, conducted activities against national security and Iranian culture by identifying and developing networks to help skilled citizens emigrate from the country.

France's foreign ministry called the closure unjustified and unacceptable, stating the move violated diplomatic norms. Paris announced it will take appropriate measures in response to the raid, starting with the summons of the Iranian ambassador to the foreign ministry.
