The recent stability follows a sharp downturn on Oct. 15 that pushed Bitcoin briefly below $80,000 and triggered $900 million in liquidated long positions over 24 hours. Glassnode analysts suggested the selling pressure near $80,000 might represent a local bottom if previous capitulation cycles repeat. During that period of volatility, Ether fell 6% to $2,358 and Asian markets declined, including a 7.6% drop in the Kospi index, as hotter US inflation data sparked a risk-off mood.
