In a separate appearance on Fox News, host Sean Hannity pressed Zacharia on why she never took the bar exam a second time and questioned her about a CNN report identifying at least 15 social media posts over the past two years that referred to her as an attorney, despite her earlier statement that she had been advised to call herself a "lawyer" rather than an "attorney." Zacharia confirmed she never retook the test and said of the posts, "I think they were retweets. I corrected the record and said it's not endorsing the title."
Hannity, who two days earlier had attacked the "corrupt media" for questioning Zacharia's credentials, also noted that her 14-minute debut White House briefing was "widely panned" after she took three questions. Zacharia defended the appearance by saying she "stepped up to the plate to do the press conference with very little prep time," while confirming that after failing the 2011 California exam she worked in the international practice of a Chinese law firm in Beijing.
