Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis and investigator ZachXBT linked the $6.3 billion Binance hack to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group after stolen funds from the exchange were routed through THORChain and commingled at a single address with proceeds from last month’s $388 million Bitget exploit. Security firm MistTrack also traced stolen TRX from the Binance breach through Bitget Wallet’s swap bridge to an address previously used in the early 2025 Phemex hack. Chainalysis, TRM Labs and Pangolin Intelligence all attributed the heist, the largest in crypto history, to the state-sponsored North Korean unit.
