The National Intelligence Service of South Korea told lawmakers that the leader of North Korea is severely obese and faces a high risk of cardiovascular disease. Officials estimate that Kim Jong Un's weight exceeds 140 kg, a health condition compounded by his habits as a heavy smoker and a hereditary history of fatal heart attacks affecting both his father and grandfather.

Despite these risks, intelligence officials noted no current signs of serious illness, stating that Kim remains physically active under the constant care of a personal medical team. AFP reports the leader has a preference for lavish foods such as caviar and foie gras, while Chinese internet platforms have previously restricted searches for the nickname "Fat Kim" following complaints from Pyongyang.
