Denmark Arrests 2 Suspected Russian Spies Targeting Anti-Drone Firm

Authorities in Northern Jutland are prosecuting individuals accused of collecting intelligence for a foreign government. North Jutland Police and the Security and Intelligence Service of Denmark arrested two men, aged 18 and 21, on October 19 for suspected espionage on behalf of Russia. Prosecutors allege the men photographed the headquarters of MyDefence in Nørresundby and transmitted the images to a user on Telegram, and they believe a third person involved in the operation remains at large.

MyDefence develops anti-drone technology for NATO forces, Ukraine, and the armies of the US and Australia. The suspects pleaded not guilty at the Court in Aalborg on October 20 to charges of unlawful intelligence activities under the Danish Penal Code, while proceedings continue behind closed doors.
