Representative Ogles and a group of Republican colleagues have petitioned Attorney General Todd Blanche to launch a federal investigation into the removal of a teenage girl from her Massachusetts home. The lawmakers sent a letter requesting a criminal probe into the case of Sophie Kutzko, which they noted has since gone viral.

Joseph and Arlene Kutzko, who are devout Catholics, had their then 15 year old daughter taken by state authorities in 2024. The parents claim they were targeted and punished for refusing to affirm their daughter's transgender identity, which they allege was encouraged in secret by a counselor at her school.
