The Liberian-flagged vessel, which is 247 meters long, was carrying approximately 100,000 tonnes of oil from Novorossiysk to India when it was struck by unmanned vessels on Oct. 6. Russia's Transport Ministry confirmed the attack and stated that the 23 crew members, all Indian nationals, were rescued without casualties. The strike marks an escalation in recent targeting of commercial shipping in the Black Sea, following similar attacks on the Royad Mammadov and Alfa Watan.
