US President Donald Trump told reporters on Wednesday that additional military attacks against Tehran are possible following the upcoming presidential vote. Speaking at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Trump claimed that Iran’s government has essentially collapsed and its military and finances have been decimated, leaving the country with world-leading inflation of 300%.
The comments follow earlier statements from Trump that the conclusion of the conflict rests entirely on his personal timeline. The war’s cost has risen to $47B, and while Trump suggested Iran may be stalling on a potential deal until after the election, he asserted that such a delay will not benefit Tehran.
