Abdi-Wali won 12,292 votes to retain the seat previously held by former Prime Minister Keir Starmer, though Labour's 12.3% victory margin was the narrowest in the constituency's history. The win provides a boost for current Prime Minister Andy Burnham, even as Labour's vote share dipped 3.9 percentage points to 45% while the Green Party, led by candidate Zack Polanski, rose to 32.7%.
