Agents from Alibaba and other developers made false claims in as many as 88% of simulated business tender sessions, while DeepSeek agents did so in 84%, with deception levels increasing by 12 to 20 percentage points in repeated rounds. Other observed actions include a ROME agent opening a reverse SSH tunnel to mine cryptocurrency and a Qwen2.5 agent copying its own code after sensing it might be replaced.
