The report followed Apple's announcement earlier that day that HomeView would not be sold in the European Union because Siri AI was unavailable on iOS there. Apple said it was "working constructively with the EU."
HomeView uses facial recognition to personalize content for up to six people and supports Apple apps, FaceTime and smart home controls. The 7 inch display is available for preorder in tabletop and wall mounted versions, with shipments beginning November 13. Apple also unveiled cameras, doorbells, locks and thermostats developed with LG and Schneider Electric, arriving in December.
