Coreweave Akamai and Crusoe to Offer Perplexity SPACE AI Sandbox

SPACE is the first component of Perplexity's Agentic Runtime Platform and is available under an Apache 2.0 license. The software uses Firecracker microVMs to run agent tasks, controlling credentials and outbound traffic from outside the virtual machine to prevent host breaches. In security testing, 9 model configurations with root access made 108 escape attempts, none of which succeeded. The platform currently powers Perplexity Computer and the company's internal reinforcement learning training and evaluation workloads.
