The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission authorized Cboe to offer binary options that track performance metrics of listed corporations. The new contracts allow traders to take yes or no positions on key performance indicators, such as Coinbase trading volume, Marathon Digital’s BTC production and customer or revenue figures for Robinhood. The approval was granted late Tuesday, establishing Cboe as the first securities exchange to list this type of prediction contract.
