The provider of the Claude AI models has entered into an agreement with the artificial intelligence division of SpaceX to access Nvidia hardware for its computational requirements. The arrangement specifies an aggregate spend of up to $120.5B on compute through 2029, with monthly payments of approximately $3.1B beginning after the capacity is delivered in December 2026.
In coordination with the deal, Anthropic raised its revolving commitments from $3.3B to $15B and increased its minimum liquidity covenant from $500M to $5B, extending the maturity of those commitments to September 2031. The compute contract allows either party to cancel with 90 days’ notice after early periods that conclude in January and March 2027.
