UAE Blocks Israeli Rescue Flights First Operative Since February War Halt

The emergency operation began on Oct. 2 with a flight by Arkia, the first landing by an Israeli carrier in Dubai since regular routes were halted in February 2026 at the start of the war with Iran. While Israir and El Al have also deployed aircraft to transport passengers back to Ben Gurion Airport, flydubai continues to suspend all flights to and from Israel until further notice.
