The House is out of session until mid-November following warnings from the Saving College Sports advocacy group that UNC, FSU, Miami and Clemson could block the bill. These schools have pushed to raise the membership cap for athletic conferences from 20 to 22 and add a sunset provision to allow an immediate exit from the ACC. The act previously passed the Senate with a 77-22 bipartisan vote.
