A venture backed by Sam Altman has secured $37.5 million in fresh funding led by Bain Capital Crypto. The investment brings the total capital raised by the Bermuda-based life insurer, Meanwhile, to more than $180 million. Sources say the company is now valued at $350 million, representing an increase from a $190 million valuation in April 2025.

The firm specializes in insurance policies denominated in bitcoin to serve crypto asset holders. It is currently expanding its business operations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East to grow its global footprint.
