Lido Launches Direct ETH Staking on 4 Layer 2 Networks

Users on Arbitrum, Base, Linea and Optimism can now access liquid staking via a new integration with Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol. Lido Finance utilizes this framework to permit direct ETH deposits from these networks, removing the requirement for participants to bridge assets manually to the Ethereum mainnet to begin staking.

Stakers receive wstETH from local liquidity pools, subject to the availability of funds, as the protocol moves the original ETH to the mainnet for processing. The expanded interface is currently operational across the four supported Layer 2 environments.
