Boyu Capital and IDG Capital led a fresh financing round for the company developing the Manus AI agent to accelerate its expansion. The startup, Butterfly Effect, raised more than $500 million, with existing investors Tencent, Sequoia China, and ZhenFund also participating. The new capital is intended to support the founder's goal of evolving the product from a digital agent into an "AI computer."
