The current accusations expand on earlier claims by Vorcaro that he made roughly R$ 30 million in clandestine payments to fund a documentary about Lula, while sponsorship for a film about Jair Bolsonaro was legal. Other allegations suggest the bribery scheme in the pension funds could involve as much as R$ 1 billion. While Vorcaro's proposals for a cooperation agreement were received by the Prosecutor General's Office, the Federal Police have denied that the banker provided testimony confirming cash payments to the Lula Institute.
