The cloud services provider released a software tool that lets developers run PyTorch AI workloads on its Trainium2 and Trainium3 chips with minimal changes to the code. Called TorchNeuron, the tool is designed to lower a major barrier to the adoption of Amazon's proprietary hardware as it competes with the dominant CUDA software ecosystem from Nvidia. Shares of Amazon rose 5% on Oct. 19, marking the company's best trading day since August.
