Deters, who previously told The Bulwark that Guilfoyle's camp called his text messages fake and labeled him a "notorious blackmailer," also claimed to have a new recording from Greece. He warned the lawsuit "might just bring down the ENTIRE Trump administration" and "may end the JD Vance Marco Rubio ticket," while comparing Guilfoyle to "Apate, goddess of deceit."
The lawsuit follows Guilfoyle's forced resignation Tuesday amid a State Department inspector general investigation and reports detailing the $100,000 credit card request as well as luxury travel funded by Greek businessmen Alexandros Exarchou and Nikolas Tsakos. Guilfoyle called the allegations against her "false" upon departing the Athens post, while White House officials rejected her earlier claims that the text messages to Deters were generated by AI.
