The imagery makes the scale of losses visible to the general public, complementing figures from UNOSAT that list 201,290 damaged structures, or 82% of all buildings, with 134,422 of those completely destroyed. While Google has refreshed its public maps with these captures, Apple Maps has not released an equivalent update.
