A limited liability company used to acquire a luxury residence in Bel Air has been linked to the co-founder of Palantir. Peter Thiel purchased the Casa Encantada estate for $130 million using an LLC that kept his identity hidden from the public for several months following the auction.

The 40,000 sqft mansion consists of 60 rooms designed to provide views of the city, garden, and ocean. Thiel, who also co-founded PayPal, remained the secret winning bidder for the Los Angeles property from the time of the sale until the recent disclosure.
