Circle's USDC designation as the first significant e-money token gives it regulatory legitimacy just as ESMA is pushing exchanges away from non-MiCA stablecoins. The most likely path is that EU trading venues, fintechs, and payment firms treat USDC and EURC as the default compliant dollar and euro stablecoin rails.
