ShinyHunters Hijacks Clop Leak Site to Extort Rival Ransomware Gang

ShinyHunters seized control of the ransomware leak site used by Clop to publish stolen files and pressure victims into paying. The attackers replaced the site's content with Pokémon ASCII art and a note warning the gang not to make threats next time. The group claimed full access to the server and stole source code, system logs, and private keys for the onion service.

The cybercrime gang gave Clop 72 hours to make contact before it attempts to extort the rival group. This attack follows a dispute over a campaign targeting Oracle E-Business Suite last year, during which a Clop member allegedly threatened to kill members of ShinyHunters. BleepingComputer confirmed the website defacement and the uploaded proof of hack.
