Lawyers and relatives of Sean 'Diddy' Combs have provided an alternative explanation for the rapper's emergency medical transport from a New Jersey federal facility. The family denies that Jamaican drug lord Christopher "Dudus" Coke assaulted the musician, claiming instead that a bunk bed caused the head injury. This contradicts reporting from TMZ, which previously identified the source of the trauma as a physical conflict over alleged VIP treatment Combs received in lockup.

Combs was moved by ambulance from FCI Fort Dix early Saturday morning to treat the non-life-threatening injury. He was conscious and speaking when he returned to the facility before sunrise. Representatives for the artist are currently working to establish the exact sequence of events leading to the hospitalization.
